Sunday day 6 I think

Well they call it a rain Forrest for a reason! Good god it rained hard last night! Woke me up a few times!
Oh...just a note..if your 100yr old great grandma gives you some fruit for the road...check it first to make sure it's not rotten! As I was stopping for the night, I noticed a little fly scooting around the van...and then anothr and another...so I turned on the light and..oh my..lots of little fruit flys! Shitty deal indeed! So the fruit went into the trash promptly! And the seem to be gone now!
Went for a run on the redwoods after my hike thru Stout grove. Great run, great time..was a mix of trail running over rocks and roots and stuff with some good up and downs, slippery bridges and abrupt endings! I cane around this one corner and boom!...river! I thought it was going to wrap around and follow the shore...nope! So slammed on the brakes and ate shit abit! But overall a good run!
So I'm back @ Starbucks updating everything and I'll be heading for Reno tonight...not too sure how long it's gonna take...but I'll giver and see where I end up.
I am enjoying the trip so far...I do miss chatting with friends.
Anyways...I should hit the road.

Sat night update

Well here I am in Cresent city CA...missed the turn off to where I was supposed to go...so of course I found a Starbucks lol...so with some googleing I have a ruff idea where to go now. Should be a nice day and some food hiking.
I kinda want to stay in the city tonight and try to meet some people and have a Halloween party like everyone else....bit that would kinda defeat the purpose of the trip and cost me a bunch of cash witch in trying to conserve...so I will head into the bush tonight and wake up ready for a great day in the groves. Who knows...maybe I'll run into some cool tree huggers...if I do...I'll tell them I used to log...and the the fun begin!!!

I hate computers!

Rant time....I know my computer is old...she's been good to me...been alot of places in it's time of service...but all I want to do right now is get on the net and email 1 picture...and my computer.....sigh....can't do a dan thing. It's hooked up to the net but Internet explorer keeps screwing up and now it can't think. Its frozen. I just want shit to work...is that too much to ask? I want to turn it on, do my shit fast and efficently and move on. See, with helicopters....they are old...but I can fix them, they generally don't randomly screw up for no reason...mo blue screens of death, no de-frags, registry boosts, updates (other than the 407 FADEC)...its tangible...problem...solution. It's not like for some reason this random .exe file got corrupted by a http:;()$&-//: file that got a virus from a funny email some person you never talk to send you....dam!
Ok...I'm calm now...it's working now, just very very slowly...just to Piss me off I'm sure!
When I get working again.....I think I see an iBook in my future!
Anyways...I'm on the road to the red woods...my computer may or may not make it there lol!

Day 5 update I suppose!

Well hey there.
So today, woke up after a good sleep and a shower feeling great. Went for a run, had anothr shower, breaky and then a visit with Gram witch was great...I hope I'm doing that well when I'm 90 lol and she's 100! Had a super visit! Going back for one more before I hit the road. So came back and met up with Gary and we went to the gym and I had a good workout....so did Gary...he can lift! Then went out for some really good Mexican food!! Mmmmmm, beans..tacos...nachos and salsa!
So now, with help from Gary...planned out the next legs of the trip. I'm going to head south to northern California and see the redwoods, then from there, cross into Nevada, Idaho, then into Wyoming for Yellowstone. Spend a day or so exploring the park, then east to Mt Rushmore and after that burn east to Green Bay...hope to be there Friday night or Sat night so I can figure out the proper tail-gateing procedures!
So going to be a busy week. I doddled down here, one more day of easy driving and then the long hauls begin :)

Oh, I was going to start putting pics up on photonucket and linking them to the blog in a slide show....but to upload the photos would take literally hours....and I don't know how to select multiple pics to do a large uploads. So once I get a wired connection, I'll start putting them up...

Thurs update

Howdy from Roseburg OR and my first shower in 3 days! Had great slow drive today...so much to see on the coast...could spend so much time just exploring the coast.
Got some great shots today and I should be able to get them up tomorrow sometime. Did some climbing...got real wet...lol! but so worth it! I saved the camera, it got alittle wet but still works good! Go Cannon! Ummm, what else...not much else to report.
So I'm settled in with Gary and Deloris, and I'll be seeing Gram tomorrow.
I'll so another update tomorrow...cuz I'm going to have a shower now!!!

Good evening

Well.....a good day.....for today I'm glad I was alone....I spent the entire day wondering the air museum! Geek factor extreme! Really a great spot, very interactive and a very knowledgeable staff of fellow geeks. Example....did you know you and pull start am ME 262? ( most of you are going...WTF is a ME 262...lol...don't worry about it!) I won't ramble on too much about it...but a great place...also they have a great space section as well complete with some very cool rockets, actual space craft, and rocket engines!
That was my day. So now I'm sitting here In some dim lit Irish style pub with a very tasty pint of beer in my hand, live music in the background, and a tasty pizza on the way. After this it's an hour drive to the coast to find a spot and park for the nongt and then tomorrow, roseburg to see my 100 yr old gerat grandma! Should be great!
Driving yesterday...and some songs came on. Hearing these songs now vs a few months ago...2 different feelings...some songs make more sense...and some songs I still can't listen too, might not be able to again. I love music, as we all do...but the power it has is amazing..it can pump you up, knock you down, chill you out, help you work, escape reality or whatever is on your mind. Some songs for me can do all of the above somehow. I'm happy and at the same time I hate that music can do this...you can be in A mood, and a song can come on and just destroy you. Se songs will be etched in my mind forever, good and bad I guess.but good or bad, I'm happy that it has that impact on me. As much as it hurts sometimes I'm glad I can feel something......Morgan you can chime in any time ;)
So my pizza is here now....quite tasty actually! So good night to you...and next update or rant or whatever will be from another 4 hrs south into OR.

Tue recap

Good morning all! Yesterday was a great day,woke up to F-18's and E6-B's ripping around, went on a windy ferry ride...found some amazing beaches on the west coast of WA and a new camping spot it think south of Forks right on the beach.
Ate up alot of time yesterday but did not cover much ground!
Stopped in Astoria OR for a top up and a quick bite, and some grubby dude comes up to me, "hey man, can I get a jump?" yep no worries dude! He had one of those old Toyoda vans that kinda look like mine...it was beat down hard, he smelled like a hobo and kinda looked like one too. Super nice guy! His name was Jason and he's a 32yr old skater and surfer...so we chatted for a bit bout life and stuff...I told him bout my trip and he said right on man! You look pumped!! We talked about getting old....this guy looked like he was my age or younger...and just happy...ya know..(wow the music sucks in this Safeway sbucks...it's like late 80's thru mid 90's adult contemporary shit) any way....he gets by and loves life...college dude!
I'd love to write more but the ol iPhone is dying...the pos mastercrap inverter doesnt work worth a shit....so...plan B later today after the museum....
