Wow.....lots has gone on since the last post 3 months ago.
I just finished copy and pasting the entire blog onto my computer at work...that's right, work....more on that later!....but scanning thu all the posts was neat.
Remembering all of the good times and bad....the people and experiences, hangovers, miles, and everything in between. What an amazing trip...it was exactly what i needed.
Id like to thank all the people that helped me out along the way with couches, beds, dinners, and showers!!!
So, since the trip....a fair amount has changed....I did a road trip up thru northern AB looking for work, a trip out to Morgans for Super Bowl...witch lead to me finding the job I'm currently working at!
I'm working as a pilot-engineer on a R-44 Raven 2 survailing the traffic over the city of Winnipeg. Very happy to have a job...even if it is in Winnipeg! Its a good hr builder and a nice relaxed pace.
not really very reflective right now.....i should have some wine and sit down and close off with a couple deep.....semi drunk thoughts lol!
I have found a couple old posts on the iPhone that i will post as well.
So for now I'm going to take care of some stuff round here and save the final thoughts for another time.

Westbound and down....Thursday morning
Good morning from Lac Du Bonnet Manitoba and the familiar comfy confines of the Howard Johnson. I've spent alot of tome here in the past working for Ultra on the 204 contract machine out here for Manitoba Fire Prevention. Same shitty coffee and same giant breaky's for cheap.....and the owner is still here....has not changed abit.
It's funny....watching and eve's dropping on all the older fat guys bs'ing and drinking coffee at the other end of the restaurant! I hope I have more to do when I'm that age than sit around, drink shitty coffee and bitch about stuff!!
So made it here round 9 last night. Uneventful drive. Drove thru some real nice country west of Thunder Bay....drove thru Kenora....very nice little town. Very quaint and homey feeling.
Slept in the parking lot of the community rec centre last night...and woke up this morning in my nice warm van to a good ol snowy good morning! But the van ran all night again with no issues....and inside it's like my own little oasis lol! Slept great again.
So the plan today is to dump of a couple resumes...one here in town the I'll head west to St. Andrews airport and custom helicopters....then begin the 1400km or so journey to Calgary. I didn't think it was that far...the one saving grace is that it's long and straight so I can open up the van....and by open up I mean...110kph!
Uncle Richard gave me the number for some family @ the farm in Sask...so I gave Melanie a call last night and we had a nice chat....we are going to see if we can meet up tonight Kindersley Sask.....but it will be time dependent. Now that I've made contact...if I don't get to see them this trip next road trip I can set something up a little more in advance.
I also got pulled over last night. Lol! I go thru a stop sign...I thought I stopped....more or less...so lights on...and the cop comes up, I roll down the window...this 'cop' looked like he was 18....no shit! He just wanted to do a license and Reggie check. But I coldest believe how young this guy was. How does he get hired before me as a cop...this guy was not scary at all lol! Any ways...it was all good and I was on the way.
Well I got to get gone here...I'm not sure when this will get up....
